Hotels on the north side of Old Town

While the most convenient places to stay in Alexandria are the hotels on King Street around King Street metro station, there are several hotels on North Washington Street about eight blocks off King Street. These hotels include a Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, Best Western, Travelodge, and a cheapo called the Alexandria-Towne Motel‎. These hotels are closest to the Braddock Road Metro Station, and also not too far from the Potomac River and some of the town's historic buildings such as the Lee-Fendall House and Robert E. Lee's Boyhood Home. The neighborhood also has a few restaurants and some shopping opportunities.
