Econo Lodge Metro
The Econo Lodge Metro was the place my boss decided my colleagues and I would spend the two nights when we auctioned off the nearby super-sized Evans Farm Inn in February, 2000. The hotel had everything a guy could want after a long day: a comfortable bed, a clean loo, and a working telly. Some other hotels in the area (some cheaper than this) have good in-house restaurants, but there are a number of good restaurants near here. When you click on the prices, you would think my money mindful boss would have been daft as a doorknob to have the lot of us stay here. Believe it or not, it was the cheapest in the area at the time. My boss paid about $45 a night (in 2000). I think the $180 and up figure quoted below is due to hotels inflating rates in and around the inauguration.
Unique Quality: They don't call it the Econo Lodge Metro for nothing. The East Falls Church metro station is only a few blocks away, thus it won't take long to get into Washington. It's located in a good neighbourhood where Arlington, McLean, and Falls Church converge. This amenity is my boss' favourite: FREE continental Breakfast.
