DC's Very Affordable Hotel 3 1/2 Stars (Rosslyn)

Surprising rates thru washington.org (also in marriott.com) for the dates July 2 to the 7th, 2008. Amazing property 3 1/2 stars catered a family of 4 from Puerto Rico for a memorable Independence Day festivities. Excellent lobby, beautiful hallways, perfect to none room, very clean pools, fine beds & beddings, super prepared staff, good location. Close to Rosslyn Metro Station, shuttle to Georgetown ($ 1.50), taxis at the facilities, walkable distance to Georgetown.

Unique Quality: Rooms are its best bet. But the entire property is a plus (3 1/2 stars). Fantastic. Marriott: you did it again!

More about Marriott Key Bridge

Key Bridge Marriott was Wonderful

by TripAdvisor Member Crawfish58

After reading reviews on this site, I selected the Key Bridge Marriott to stay at while attending a graduation at Georgetown. I was a little concerned at a recent review, but many of the rest were great, so I went ahead and reserved a room and I was not disappointed! First of all, the outside is not ugly. It looks great. The lobby was very nice and felt like a luxury hotel. Check-in was quick, despite the hotel being completely booked and the front desk was very nice. In fact, everyone was very friendly. All of the rooms, halls and common areas were newly decorated and were extremely comfortable. The beds were heaven, they were luxurious with great linens and comforters. Housekeeping was friendly, efficient and accommodating. When they discovered I had my daughter with me (they saw her doll), they left her a box of chocolate next to her doll. The pool was great, clean and nicely staffed, I never had to search for a towel. Finally, we concluded our stay with Sunday Brunch at the top of the hotel. The view was stunning and the brunch was the best I have ever had. The Metro is a very easy walk and right across the bridge (about three blocks long) is Georgetown with its great restaurants and shopping. At an earlier trip two years ago, our family stayed at the Grand Hyatt downtown and I much preferred this Marriott over the Hyatt. We had a fabulous trip and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent!!!!

We stayed at the Key Bridge Marriott for 5 nights at the end of May 2006. Very friendly staff, good facilities, simply great location (very close to downtown DC with easy access to both airports), comfortable and clean room. Would certainly stay there again!!

Great Family Experience

by TripAdvisor Member flamex

We had a wonderful family experience at the Key Bridge Marriott in June 2006. We were two families, having a reunion of sorts, sight-seeing and relaxing. We were four adults and 6 children. The best part was getting a great rate that included the delicious breakfast buffet for all of us. This made the stay! Also, the pool with two lifeguards was a boon for the kids. The hotel staff were very attentive and we felt that the children were safe throughout the property. The beds were wonderful.

There were problems: The temperature control in the room made the A/C cycle on and off. We were alternately freezing or throwing the heavy duvets off. We could not get the Internet to work even after calls to the Front Desk, help line, and a visit from a hotel employee. We were not charged but it was inconvenient. I wish the hotel had free wireless internet.

Excellent Hotel!

We stayed at the Key Bridge Marriott for 4 nights and absolutely loved this hotel ! They have everything we needed. Room Service was Great....Restaurant in Hotel was very nice and we also took advantage of the Gift Shop. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and they also have an indoor pool. Rooms were very clean and very nice. Fresh Towels daily and bed was so comfortable. The staff was always polite and eager to help us with any directions or questions we had about the area. The Bellman even stayed on the phone with us and gave us directions when we got lost before checking in. No Complaints at all....Excellent Service and Excellent Hotel !

Exceptionally Friendly Staff

We stayed at the Key Bridge Marriott last weekend and found it to be a good buy for the money. Although the rooms are not huge, they are certainly adequate for the price and very clean. Not only was the front desk staff very accommodating but everyone we passed in the hall went out of their way to greet us in a very cheerful manner.

We did not eat breakfast there because we had heard the buffet was fairly expensive. We did eat in the dining room one night, and my husband and I both got their prime rib dinner which was delicious. We were given a choice of two desserts. Be sure and pick the cheesecake - it was delicious.

There is a shuttle that stops by about every ten minutes that takes you into Georgetown. The shuttle is only $1.00 each way so it is a convenient way to travel. We left our car in the garage and never had to move it for three days.

We would stay there again. Pat from Mechanicsville, VA (8/19/05)

Great stay in a good location

by A TripAdvisor Member

Want a good hotel in a good location, this is the place stay. All the attarctions of Washington only a short metro ride away and within easy access to the Georgetown resturants each only a 10 min walk. WE have just returned to the UK from our vacation in Virginia and have no complaints about the Marriott Key Bridge.

Give it a try, you won't be disapointed

Just returned fropm a three night stay at this Hotel. Service and cleanliness could not have been any better. From the moment we checked in everyone we came in contact with was helpful and pleasant. I have stayed in DC many times over the last 25 years at everything from Econo Lodge to the Crown Plaza-Capital Hill and this ranks as one of the best. In reference to some other postings, yes it is about a ten minute walk to the Metro but I like to walk. One day during a rain shower we took a cab back from the metro to the Hotel and it was only $4.10. I was traveling with my eight year old grandson and he loved the pool (as did I). Also the wait staff in the restaraunt always were fantastic at breakfast and treated him like he was a VIP. The breakfast buffett was $13.95 for me but only $3.95 for him, 18 bucks plus tax and tip -- not bad considering the bountiful selection. It sustained us very nicely for the days sightseeing. We usually had an afternoon snack instead of lunch and then a late dinner after returning for a little pool time. I booked the room through PRICELINE bid $59.00 a night for a 3 star and got it. Thought we would end up in the small section beside the pool but at check in ask for a room with a view and was given a nice room on the 8th floor overlooking Georgetown and the Potomac River. Would reccomend to anyone!!!!

big disappointment

by A TripAdvisor Member

i selected this hotel based upon tripadvisor reviews and was pretty disappointed as a biz traveller. rooms need a makeover and housekeeping is pretty stingy with the toiletry items. this hotel gets lots of tourists & conventioners so can get noisy. not recommended if you are working in the area on assignment.
