The rooms were average and the surroundings just OK. It was not worth the money. The location was OK but other hotels with just as good of a location and priced much better. Management had difficulty with responding to customer concerns. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Unique Quality: The views are not great--there were none. The facility is average, not worth the money. The business office small and overused. Many other hotels for a better price --I have stayed at the Hampton Inn next door--that was very nice, the Quality Inn up the street for a better price. I have stayed at a Sleep Inn in the midwest that I liked and was much less a night than this hotel. Nothing outstanding about the Ashland Sleep Inn.
Clean large rooms, handicap-enabled with even braille elevators and numbers on the doors.
The place looked "fresh" and smelled clean (smokeless). They offer a generous continental breakfast as part of the price.
There are the normal amenities of: room service, free morning paper, exercise room, pool, web hookup and washer/dryers-room on the first floor.
Rooms have TV, iron, hairdryer, 2-cup coffee maker, desk, table with chair, small microwave and refrigerator. Air conditioner worked well but was slightly noisy (probably drowned out any night noises).
Price was a bit above average even with AAA rates ($80 in 2003) but the motel location and quality was worth it.
