Burke, Quiet and At Peace in the Midst of a Big Ci
Burke is a small town in suburban Washington DC, it is quiet and has three shopping centers. Youth here used to go to have fun to the local McDonalds'.
This is a place that hasn't changed too much in decades, has a great local library (Pohick) but it is mostly neighborhoods.
There is a house by Colonel Silas Burke which dates back to the middle of the 19th. century and I believe is the first house in this area. Also, there are a couple of cannons surviving the civil war at another location. Burke was close to the theater of the first Manassas battle and may have seen some of the action then.
Burke is the little land of the lakes in Northern Virginia and probably the Washington Area. Burke Lake is the largest lake in Fairfax County and two others in Burke are Lake Royal and Lake Braddock.
