If you are looking for some adventure there are places you can go on Jet Ski tours around the island. There is also a boat tour if you do not do jet skis that will take you on a tour around the island as well, but make sure you call in advance because the tickets go quickly.

Fishing and crabbing are pretty big on the island. The bridge that takes you out to Assateague is a popular place to fish. Memorial park is also a good place to catch fish.

The island of Assateague does have a beautiful beach you can spend the day at as well. There are a few nature walks you can do on Assateague but make sure you bring plenty of mosquito spray because they can get pretty bad around that time of year.

There are also bike rentals and little motorized carts that you can rent and drive anywhere a car can go. The 1 seat moped is about 25 an hour and the 2 seat car is 35. There are 2 miniature golf courses as well. Make sure you stop at the Island Creamery...in my opinion best ice cream on the island. You can also rent kayaks and canoes to go searching the many channels throughout the island; I’ve never personally done this but my friend’s kids who live on the island do it all the time.
