Pool, Spa and Ponies grazing in the seagrass outside your window.
They offer Bike rentals and have a nice gift shop as well.
Within walking distance of the Oyster Museum, Wildlife Refuge and bride for crabbing and fishing. If you are going to the beach I would recommend a bicycle or car.

They offer standard rooms, suites, condo w/ full kitchen& jacuzzi or you can rent the "Cottage."

Chincoteague's Greatest Treasure

This motel is incredible! It has more of the feel of a Bed & Breakfast than a 72-room hotel as the owners decorate each room differently, with high quality furnishings. There is a pool, hot tub, exercise room and a great breakfast. I would recommend the Refuge Inn to anyone without hesitation!!

Unique Quality: As stated above, the rooms are all beautifully furnished, with each room being unique rather than the standard "see one, see them all" of most places. It is also right at the entrance to the beach and Wildlife Refuge so it is a perfect location (and has their own bike rental shop as well!!)

Great location

A terrific choice. Family owned. Staff is helpful. You couldn't ask for a closer location to the Beach and the Wildlife Refuge.
A lovely natural landscape surrounds the Refuge Inn. The McDonalds next door is barely noticeable through the trees and the pony pasture.
If you enlarge this photo you will see one of the famous Island ponies at the back of the hotel.
