More about The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm
Relaxing and Refreshing!
The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed the great mountain scenery. Dick and Hayden were very hospitable. We loved our time there and will definitely go back! It was great to be pampered!
There is no better B&B!
My wife and I have visited Sugar Hollow more than a dozen times now (that alone should tell you everything you need to know!). Each room at the Inn is very individualized and uniquely different. From the first time that we visited in 1999 until our most recent visit this week, we have always felt completely at home and comfortable in every way. Hayden and Dick (the owners) and their assistant Margie are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and it now has gotten to the point that we look forward to a visit at Sugar Hollow just to visit with them as they are truly like family. The setting is absolutely serene in each of the four seasons so there isn't a bad time of the year to visit.
This place is perfect - nestled in the mountains, with perfect views of the woods around and the stars at night, close to a quaint town with nice restaurants, and only 15 minutes or so from Charlottesville, and a beautiful 15 minute drive at that. The hosts are friendly, the breakfasts delicious, and every amenity provided. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
Relaxing Location For B&B
Although we visited many overseas B&B and only a few in the states The Inn At Sugar Hollow is the best so far. You need not feel it necessary to go anywhere beyond its location. You can just stay there to relax as though it was spa. The hosts Dick and Hayden are great as is their staff of Margie and Amanda. We heartily can recommend this B&B.
Hospitality and relaxation
The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm is a wonderful retreat nestled in a secluded hollow yet quickly accessible to the Charlottesville area. The setting is gorgeous from the mountains surrounding it, to the moutain stream in front of it, to the babbling brook that runs beside it and along the driveway. Dick and Hayden are delightful hosts. Be careful what you ask Dick because he may overwhelm you with history and information. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the breakfast jump-starts each day with delights like pumpkin pancakes or "reservation squash". We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite being there the same time as Hurricane Ivan! We were sad to leave and are already planning our next visit.
The Perfect B&B
Our recent stay at the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm wont be our last. The setting was beautiful and relaxing and Dick and Hayden are the perfect hosts. The room was luxurious and immaculately clean. We are perfect food snobs so when I say that we were impressed by the impeccably prepared breakfasts, it is no faint praise. We are already planning a return visit to this lovely inn.
This place was truly remarkable in its ability to capture the essence of a bed and breakfast. It was homey yet very elegant, inviting and embracing by the hosts yet private and intimate, and filled with an attention to detail that provided all the amenities to pamper yourselves in the way you would like. The lovely breakfasts were clearly made with pleasure and were delicious.
The surrounding hills and woods and rivers also provide a serenity of the locale that is hard to find.
I highly recommend giving Hayden and Dick a call to stay there. We really loved our visit!
Absolutely the best B&B we have ever visited. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the staff. They gave us a great tour of the place and made us feel at home within minutes. The room was awesome (Country Manor Room), well decorated, very clean and the tub was excellent. The scenery the surronds Sugar Hollow was superb. Great access to local wineries (just as good as Sonoma or Napa), hiking trails and the University of Viriginia (13 miles). The local restaurants were a pleasant surprise, 7 years ago there was only a Subway and Crozet Pizza, now they have about 4 new places that are surprisingly elegant for being that far out of Charlottesville. Would recommend this to anyone staying in the area.
Our Second Visit, and we'll visit again!
This was our second visit to Sugar Hollow, and we will certainly visit again. The location is stunning, the inn is incredibly relaxing, the hosts are superb, and the food is very yummy! You won't be disappointed.
A Dream of a Place to dream in
Our second visit from across "The Pond", this time to both enjoy this beautiful place and to meet up with good friends, two of whom we first met at Sugar Hollow on our previous visit.
Every thoughtful touch for comfort and enjoyment is provided by Dick and Hayden the Hosts, also Margie, other staff and the Stair Bears -visit and you will understand.
Fabulous breakfasts, great local dining and, oooh, the scenery and other attractions. A truly great "get away" place.
We will return!
