Lebanese Food Festival
The weekend after every Mother's Day (mid-May in the USA and most countries, but some countries celebrate it other points of the year) the Maronite Catholic Church has hosted the Lebanese Food Festival since 1985. On the Friday and Saturday, it is on from 10am-10pm; on the Sunday, they have it from 10am-8pm. They offer shish kebab over rice, tabouli, stuffed cabbage rolls, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, cucumber salad and yogurt among other entrees not to mention all manner of Lebanese desserts to be washed down by Lebanese beer or soft drinks. The food is sold under a tent where people pay at each kiosk. For example, I bought tabouli at one tent and shish kebab at another. For your dancing and dining pleasure, they show traditional Lebanese dances to toe-tapping Arabic tunes in a gazebo.
