Colonies RV and Travel Park: Campground for RV's on Fort Monroe

I haven't stayed here, but when we sailed down to Norfolk on our boat and then later when we drove down, we could see that there were camp sites here.

At present this appears to be a civilian area so a military ID is not required. Fort Monroe was de-activated in 2011 after our visit.

There is tent camping plus thirteen RV spots named after the thirteen original colonies. Each RV site has its own water, electricity and sewage hook up right on the site. We support both 30 and 50 amp connections. In addition there are 10 overflow spots with water and electricity.

Conveniently located near Williamsburg, Newport News, Yorktown, Virginia Beach and some of the largest active military bases in the country. There is.access to 500 feet of private oceanfront beach only a 2 minute walk across the park. There are also RV's to rent

2014 rates are
RV - $40-45/night for full hook ups
TENT SITES - $20.00 per night + Tax
TENT SITES - $25.00 w/electric + Tax (Limited Space)
DUMP SITE FEES - $8.00 PER DUMP
CAMPGROUND REGISTERED GUEST DUMP FREE
– DISCOUNTS –
ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY AND RETIRIES, AARP, GOOD SAM, FMCA
MINIMUM TWO (2) NIGHT STAY ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS
