There is only one thing to know about Hillsville: it has no culture. Unless you consider Hickish a kind of culture. If you walk in a restaurant wearing sweat pants (or no pants at all), a ragged t-shirt, and haven't bathed in a week, you ARE the culture.
Hillsville is a small town. That says a lot. The surrounding area is indeed beautiful. The scenery mainly consists of the Blue Ridge Parkway, probably one of the most scenic roads in the country. Hillsville is lacking if you are looking for excitement, but appealing if you are old and retired. So take some time and look at what else I have to say and judge for yourself.
