There are many pleasant bed and breakfasts inn in the area. However, I recommend The Martha Washington Inn.

This gorgeous Inn was once the all girls college started by George Washington's wife, Martha. It is a very historic Inn and they offer 'Ghost Tours' to visitors.

Hotel Jefferson: Hotel Jefferson

The Jefferson is the place in Richmond where all kinds of VIPs stay. At these prices, only they can afford it. The hotel is so well-appointed that it becomes a must see activity as well as a place to stay if you want to see how the other half lives.

If the staircase in the photo looks familiar, it was the one filmed in Gone With the Wind.

White Horse Campground is the only place I have enjoyed camping at the seashore. This is 10 years ago and today we camp in trailers or motorhomes. This place had trees and shade which is best for me instead of being out on the sand in the heat.

Waynesboro's premier place to...

Waynesboro's premier place to stay is the Iris Inn. This fantastic Bed and Breakfast Inn is fantastic.

Every room has a wildlife or nature theme and is decorated accordingly. Their accomodation range from a traditional room with private bath, to a complete suite with kitchen, living room, fireplace and private deck. The views are specatular and the food (breakfast only) is incredible. The view is great.

Unlike Europe, in the U.S. bed and breakfasts are usually expensive affairs. You can find very nice ones throughout Virginia, but expect to pay a lot. Hotels and motels abound, of course. Camp grounds are also common, and that's a good idea if you're touring the mountains.

La Chaumiere: La Chaumiere

$75 US

It is a wonderful little cottage with living room, bedroom, kitchen, bath, and even a dining room, filled with antiques and hosted by Mary Lee Black. Comfort supreme at a absolutely surprising reasonable price!

Most of the B&B are very interesting. Camping is great because you are in the middle of nature. Most of the Inns and B&B's are in the Blue Ridge Mt's and the Shenandoah valley
US currency $12.00 a night for camping
Avarge price for hotels , Motels and Inns are from $50.00
and up .

Camping would be at the Watermelon Park along the Shenandoah River off Hwy 7 W.
