Holiday Inn Express is conveniently located near exit 37 where I-295 and Route 360 intersect. This hotel is among the closest to the Richmond International Raceway and is the first to book up in advance of the two NASCAR races. It is only 6 miles (10 km.) from downtown Richmond and is a more affordable alternative to downtown hotels.
Unique Quality: The views aren't great here, to be honest. When you book your room here, try to book it on the side opposite the highway to cut down on traffic noise. Among the amenities that stand out from many other hotels is a free buffet breakfast, a high-speed internet connection, a microwave oven, and a mini refrigerator. The only complaint some might have in the way of amenities is that Holiday Inn lacks the indoor heated pool featured at the neighbouring Hampton Inn. Holiday Inn does have an outdoor pool accessible about half the year.
