Hotels with extended parking
We are considering taking a cruise out of Norfolk in December 2004.
Are there any hotels that offer extended parking to guests who stay there overnight?
Re: Hotels with extended parking
I took a cruise out of Norfolk this past October. Not sure about hotel parking but I parked at the Macarthur Mall parking deck. It was less than $10 a day and it was cheaper and closer than the port parking. Didn't know there was a cruise in December. I looked it up and sure enough Holland America is departing from there now. $875 for 11 days that's a good deal. Found that at ego.com. May be even better deals out there.
Re: Re: Hotels with extended parking
I found a deal at the Radisson Norfolk Hotel. One night, plus free buffet breakfast, plus free transfers to the cruise ship port, plus baggage handling, plus parking for the entire cruise at $135.
RE: RE: Hotels with extended parking - Avoid Radisson
It might be OK if you are going there direct and shuttling down to the cruise ships but the Radisson is in a marginal area. Frankly, I would avoid it.
Someone else mentioned MacArthur Center which is walking distance (3 blocks) to the cruise ships. There is a Courtside Marriott across the street and you could walk to the lovely Norfolk Harbor, and developing downtown along granby street.
