Had a nice stay with my wife recently. Courteous and professional staff, very comfortable beds. Good breakfast at the Foggy Point. Nice river views. Minor complaints: dusty edges on the carpet and window valances.
I have not stayed at this hotel, but when we walked from one ferry dock to the other, we walked along the waterfront in front of the hotel.
Unique Quality: Although it is near many local attractions and must have a terrific view of the river, it appears to be marketed mostly as a business conference hotel.
Directions: Overlooking the Elizabeth River and convenient via I-264
1. could anybody tell me which is the absolute closest hotel to the CN-Tower?
2. which are the 4 most known sports-teams playing at the Skydome?
every help is highly appreciated!
Not sure about the absolute closest, but the Novotel, the Royal York and many others are within 5 minutes walk (And if you are into Hockey, the Air Canada Center and the Maple Leafs are a stone's throw away too).
I will explore it tonight! I will stay at the Royal York and I have seen on the map there is a direct skywalk to the tower/staduim.
thank you for your help!
Could probably be the Renaissance Hotel the closest to the CN tower?
PJ - I'm looking forward hearing from you...
concerning the sports teams: which are the 4 best known teams in Toronto and where do they play...
I'm not into sports, but I need to findout some information... :-)
The only one I know is the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team who play at the Air Canada Center.
I don't know the baseball team but I think it's the 'off season' for that now.
Well, probably the Skydome Hotel as the Tower is right beside it.
Oops the Renaissance Hotel is the closest, didn't realize that was the name of the Skydome Hotel, we just refer to it as....Skydome Hotel ;-)
The Toronto Blue Jays play at Skydome, but the season is over. Toronto Argonauts (CFL) play at the SkyDome (I think)
The Crowne Plaza is the closest hotel in yards but the Renaissance by walking. I would recommend the Radisson Admiral over both (also close)
The 4 most known teams don't necessarily use The Skydome as a home stadium. The NY Yankees play there as well as the Blue Jays.
The Toronto Blue Jays and The Toronto Argonauts are the only 2 teams that use it as home field.
The Dome also hosts The Canadian University Championships also.
Also the Argos will probably not be playing there next year
