BEWARE Blocking Rooms!
I blocked 20 rooms for an engagement party for my son, with the understanding that there was a cut-off date, after which the rooms would be "un-blocked" automatically. I foolishly gave my credit card number as a guarantee. After numerous friendly emails back and forth before the event, none indicating there would be any charge if some rooms were not reserved by guests, after the event was over, Doubletree charged my account $1,900 for 18 un-used rooms! I disputed the charge through my bank, but Doubletree was able to produce a fine-print "cancellation clause" from the web site where I blocked the rooms. Only a lawyer could have understood it, but it apparently gave them the legal right to charge me for the unused rooms. So, I'm out almost $2,000 for making the mistake of trusting Doubletree to deal honestly with me. I have told everyone I know, and several event venues nearby this location to BEWARE of dealing with this shady outfit. BE WARNED!
