Holiday Inn Express Richmond Downtown
Holiday Inn Express is located about a mile west of the Shockoe Slip area of Richmond, though it is easy to get from the hotel to this entertainment area: straight downhill on Cary Street. The hotel is pretty nice, with big rooms, a fitness center, and wi-fi. Parking is in a well-lit garage under the hotel for $10 a night.
Prices are usually $150 to $200, but I booked o ur room on Priceline for about $65+ fees ($80).
The hotel also has a nice complimentary breakfast with coffee, juices, cinnamon rolls, cheddar omelets, sausage, biscuits, fruit, cereal and more. It was much better than your average free hotel breakfast.
