The trail is just to the West of the city and is an awesome way to spend the weekend outdoors on a nice hike Bring a light tent for overnight hikes, water, good shoe are a must, matches, maybe some canned foods, and for a me a choice bottle of bourbon for camp.
A local favorite with a great bar, 309. They have live music, great food and a great happy hour.... come start it off at 309!
UPDATE: Sadly, Due to what was said to be mismanagement, 309 closed the doors Winter of 2005 :(
