A convenient watering hole on I-81 and 64
Every other weekend for about 18 months after I moved from Maryland back to the Charlotte area, I drove along the east side of Staunton, twice. Once on the way up and again on the way back. I did stop in Staunton several times but as my commitments in Maryland diminished, I became increasingly aware that I would not spend enough time in Staunton to satify my curiosity.
Nestled, almost hidden, in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, this historic downtown features quite unexpected architecture and a vibrant, growing performing arts and music scene but the dining opportunities left me hungry for more.
