    This is one beautiful hotel, built in 1927, excellence in service for over 75 years this resort is top notch. Every thing you could want is there for you and Sunshine is guaranteed, with the sunshine guarantee, if at day has no sun while you are staying with them during the months of June, July & August they will give you a certificate good for a complimentary night in conjunction with a future visit to be used with in 1 year of issue. Beat that!

    This was a very nice hotel, everyone is friendly and helpful. We were VERY LUCKY to get a room as a drive up! There was a Shriner Convention in town and all rooms were booked at all hotel and motels. Luck of the Irish! The room was perfect for us, refrig, king size bed, high speed internet, nice big TV with cable and games, pool. many other goodies too. Room was very clean, large, had a nice size balcony with chairs and a table. A great place to people watch day or night. We paid for late checkout which I will always suggest at the beach, you can still swim all day and come back, take a shower and roll home clean and not sticky, you don't have to worry about your luggage or your car until you are ready to leave, well by 4:00PM at least!

    The Days Inn oceanfront, of course booked when we got there, but looked really nice inside, clean friendly people. Not sure about the rooms, didn't stay here, but did look like a place I would stay.

    Looked pretty nice, right on the boardwalk, clean. People were nice, no rooms at the inn, Shriners Convention and all. Not sure about the rooms, didn't stay here, but from the looks of the lobby, the room should be clean.

    We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 4 nights. Accommodation good, fair sized rooms, very central.

    Indoor pool though not very large, shame that there wasnt an outdoor pool as well. Small Gym with about 4 aparatus. Laundry room with washers and dryers. Rooms had an iron.
    Also coffee making equipment and a small fridge.
    Usual things like tv and hairdryer.
    All rooms are facing the sea and have balconies with a table and two chairs.
    Restaurant although we never actually ate there.
    Car Park which is not big enough but they do have another car park on the block behind.

    We stayed at the Newcastle Hotel the end of June 2004. It was our first trip there and it was very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The other guest were also very friendly as well, each time we came in or our the elevators we were always greeted with a friendly face and pleasant conversation. I would recommend this place because as another VT member said, "you get the most for your money".

    They had great amenities such as Jacuzzi tubs depending on the room you choose it may be in the bedroom or in the bathroom ours was in the bath. They also had a small indoor heated pool which was most of the time crowded with many children & there families. They have fitness facility which I didn't get a chance to visit. They also had a guest laundry room which I used often. They had free 2 hour bike rentals every morning. Also they had a safe in every room, that was something I wasn't use to in other hotels. The thing I liked most was that all the rooms had an ocean view w/ a private balcony and It was located just steps from the beach.

    Va Beach offers a wid range of accomdations. From resort style to B&B. In the summer time June-Aug prices more than double! So if you have a budget, try to visit before or after summer season. Other alternative is to Stay more inland like 30 minutes from the beach. Or .. lease a corporate condo. many appartment complex lease furnished appartment by the week. It might be cheaper than a hotel and still close enough to the beach! I have a place down here so I never really stayed at hotels here.

    One of the ones I like is Clarion Resort and Conference Center. It is a resort with an awesome view and impressive service. But at a price. Peak season you might be looking at$160+/night!

    This hotel is not fancy and does not have room service but it does have a great location and clean and comfortable rooms. It is a 6 story building with only one elevator that is a bit scary but there is a good side and a bad side to that. The bad side is it groans and shakes at times. The good side is many people take the stairs so its not to crowded and you can use a cell phone in there just in case you need to call for help! All but 4 of the motels 52 rooms are doubles. A few have kitchenettes. There is a coin laundry located on the site. The second, fourth, and sixth floors have vending machines on them but there is no restaurant on location. Since it is one block from the beach and right on Atlantic Avenue this should not be a problem. We stayed for 5 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The desk and maintenece people were all very helpful. Well all except for the women who was behind the counter at check out but once she figured out what she was doing she was pretty pleasant also. :)

    This motel has a nice lttle pool that is located right on the cornre of the property. There is also a continental breakfast served each morning. One of my favorite parts of the pool was the little sun deck. Although not big it was a great place to go and just relax, read a book, or snap a few pictures. Another nice thing about this little motel is that each room has its own little balcony. While very small it is nice to be able to step out and breath the ocean air in the evening.

    Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center is located on 400 peaceful, wooded acres in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, centrally located near Lynchburg, Virginia.

    We left Virgina Beach when Hurricane Isabel made here appearance and we were fortunate to rent the Hoover Center at the conference center.

    The Hoover Center is located on the property above the many lodges. It's a six-bedroom, 5-bath house sitting in the middle of a beautiful stand of trees with views ot the Blue Ridge Mountains. The house is designer decorated with a kitchen to die for. It's equiped with every conceivable appliance and a 50" screen TV with surround sound for entertainment. There's a pool and outdoor Jacuzzi and plenty of decking. The master bath has a large Jacuzzi tub and steam shower. An absolutely gorgeous house. If you ever have to escape a hurricane, this is the place to be. Besides this lovely house there are numerous lodges with bedrooms that sleep up to 14 people, these are rented out for $25/night per person.
