Need free parking near my Norfolk waterfront hotel

by chabab

Hello. I will be staying at the Sheraton Waterfront Hotel at 777 Waterside Dr, Norfolk, VA 23510 Phone: (757) 622-6664...I need free parking to park my car nearby to avoid $17 p/ day non-valet parking.

There is a parking garage located on Atlantic st & Main st. Called Main street parking garage. I can't remember what the cost is, but im sure it's lower than 17 dollars. There is also a garage on Bank st. and Plume st.
It's also within walking distance to the Sheraton. Good luck..

Butterfly trail

by bugalugs

I had read that there was a butterfly trail here, we parked, found the trail and started wondering down it. Telling the boys to be quiet as I didnt want the butterflies startled, we walked along silently with our eyes glued trying to see a butterfly. We had been walking for about 20 minutes and had not seen one!!!!! We then decided to head back to the car.

Best ribs and steaks

by LeisaRN about Frankies Ribs

The best ribs, chicken and steak around. I go there every year. Cozy yet suitable for families too. Make sure you say hi to Jay, a very friendly waiter. Ribs and chicken combo. Great food and a decent price.

Denny's also serves a great breakfast on budget

by butterflykizzez04 about Denny's Restaurant

We traveled alittle back from the beach down Virginia Beach Blvd heading west on Rt 58 towards Norfolk to eat breakfast at this Denny's.

It gives you the "old american" feel inside. We enjoyed this restaurant and the service was great. The ambience was 50's-60's and we liked it.

Also great prices. I had my standard one egg w/bacon and toast. Noel and Tiffany both had smiley face pancakes w/ bacon and link sausage.
They drank sprite and I had unsweetened tea.
We were all very pleased with our breakfast.

Rudee Inlet

by bugalugs

Rudee Inlet is at the southern end of Atlantic Avenue. From here you can go on fishing trips, jet ski, kayaks, jet boats, or if you prefer to relax sit in a restaurant and watch everyone else doing it!
