Sea Side Hospitality
My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had just driven over 7 hours to Virginia Beach to check into our hotel we arrived at around 4:00 PM. To our dismay, the hotel had "given away" our reservation. So here we were miles away from home with no where to stay. I walked over to the Sea Side hotel which was next store the SeaGull motel were we had our original reservation and explained the situation to them. They were most accomadating. They not only gave us a room, but gave a a BETTER deal then the SeaGull offered. The front dest staff was pleasant, helpful, courteous, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself is a tad outdated, but the rooms are clean and it is oceanfront. The indoor pool is OK and they have a nice atrium with live plants. We often make the trip to VA beach and will make the Sea side hotel our residence of choice.
Unique Quality: Indoor pool, onsite cafe, atrium, great staff, ocean front, great location

If you are looking for an...
If you are looking for an economical, family oriented motel, try the Seaside Motel on beachside Atlantic Ave. It is clean, has a nice indoor pool (which helps if the weather doesn't cooperate), has an atrium or garden type area with tables and lounge chairs, and has plenty of rooms which open to the boardwalk and ocean. It also has bicycles for free use by the guests and is within walking distance of many restaurants and activities. And it has a sundeck for use by any of the guests.
During the second week of May, we paid $83.00 a night for an efficiency room with 2 double beds, a roll away and a kitchenette.
Unique Quality: Indoor pool, free bicycle use, a beautiful atrium for guest use, and a sundeck for sunbathers. It also has a small restaurant with free continental breakfast for guests.
