Tennis Anyone?

by vestala

I am visiting Virginia Beach April 8-17 and would love to play some tennis. Where can I find a club or court with some players? I play regularly at the 3.0 to 3.5 USTA level.

Thanks,
Anita

All I can tell you to do is Google...it is usually quite cool here at that time of year, but this year it's been rather unseasonably warm..and cold. Who knows what the weather will bring when you are here??~

Go to Sandbridge at the south...

by wizetraveler

Go to Sandbridge at the south end of Virginia Beach. It is a very quiet beach in a residential neighborhood.
It is beautiful!
I also recommend Cape Henry, You can tour the lighthouse and the shore is lit up at night for the ships. It is gorgeous.

Forgettaboutit...

by zanzooni about The Upper Deck

This place advertises on the side of their building "All you can eat Seafood buffet...$15.95" So..tired from the day at the beach, and hungry as well, we decided to park here..and what a mistake it was...The food was disgusting, and cheap...We were first seated at a dark, dingy table..and when I asked to be moved to a table near the window that over looked the water front, I felt that I was asking for gold, diamonds and more. Forgettabout the pearls in any oysters...
Skip this joint... I can not say anything positive about this experience...much to my chagrin... ..ummm..how about the peel and eat shrimp? And even they were over done...

Maple Tree Pancake House is a Favorite for us!!

by butterflykizzez04 about Maple Tree Pancake House

This is another of our usual haunts when we go to Virginia Beach. This restaurant is only open from 7am to 2 pm. They only serve breakfast and some lunch. They are not an all day restaurant. I usual get one egg/bacon w/toast. My usual breakfast food. The girls both got pancakes and bacon.
They like the selection of different flavored syrups located in the center of the table. They usually try every flavor once or twice..sometimes more..lol

Smaller Beach Balls on the Boardwalk

by butterflykizzez04

These smaller beach balls are located near the Big Beach Ball again for photo op for the families visiting the area. This is located on boardwalk down near 30-34th streets.

It was very cold this morning on the beach. The wind was very strong.
