Thru washinton.org and their "Staying Power" Promotion (also on marriot's internet site) a family of 4 from Puerto Rico was able to stay at this magnificent property, 5 nights, between July 2 to July 7, 2008 for $ 71.00 per night. Their exclusive beds provided more than a pleasant night and rest. The whole property was entirely renewed, the lobby in a minimalistic way with plasma TVs all over the bar. Flawless service, great concierge, well appointed staff and transportation services within the property and the surroundings. Metro station 3 to 4 blocks away and a Georgetown Shuttle ($ 1.50) prooved very convenient to everyones stay.
Indoor/outdoor pool, extremely clean (no signs of wear whatsoever), two cardio and excercise areas with plasma TVs again, fantastic sauna, good jacuzzi, washing machines at an incredible price ($ 1.00/ $ 1.50 or so), taxi service always present. At this or any price: Grat Property, Better Staff! Would definitly be back and recommend it to anyone for any ocassion: family, business or romantic.
My family and I stayed here on our first trip to the DC area. The room was nice...clean. The staff were accommadating and they offer a free shuttle service to local businesses and the Dunn-Loring station for the Metro.
The shuttle service was invaluable for my daughter and I. We were whisked to the Metro station every morning to take the train into DC for sightseeing. We loved it...well, I did...no driving as traffic here can be a nightmare!
Best time for fast shuttle service is around 10 am and return after 7pm as there are a lot of business people who stay at this hotel.
They have an indoor pool, bar, restuarant and snack bar. The snack bar is open 24/7. It is close to two local shopping malls....One moderatly priced and another on the expensive side.
My stay at the Crowne Plaza was fantastic. Whnever I travel I try and stay at a Crowne Plaza Hotel. I have also stayed at the Crowne Plaza Dubai, Hotel. The service was outstanding ! Every amenity imaginable is there. From the pool to the outsanding cuisine. One of the best buffet breakfasts, and the room service was impeccable. Alo, there is a free shuttle service to and from the airport. !! I will always recommend this Hotel !!
I stayed on the penthouse floor. My what a view !
This hotel is on the College Park Campus of the University of Maryland. The weekend rates were reduced and the rooms were excellent. When I arrived late in the evening, I asked the desk clerk where I could eat. She generously gave me dinner vouchers for the hotel's restaurant. The food was tasty and the chef had an excellent presentation.
Rated by AAA; It is a 3 Diamond hotel.
This hotel is designed for meetings and seminars. It is not designed for families. It is convenient to stay here and to commute to DC. A few blocks away, I was able to park my car and ride into DC on the rapid transit system.
WARNING: Do not attempt to find a parking space in DC, you'll be driving around all day in search of a space.
Located at the heart of Dupont Circle, Jury's is part of an Irish-owned hotel chain. Centrally located, friendly staff, excellent restaurant all sum up my stay at this place.
The hotel has two really good places to eat. One of them is called Biddy Mulligan's, which is a pub that has a fairly popular happy hour. The other one is a restaurant called Dupont Grille, which apparently is run by a Chef who used to work with Emeril Lagasse.
Prices vary by season. When I stayed there it was roughly $90 US per night.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 days ( 3 nights ). It isn't the greatest hotel, but.....
