4 out of 5 starsUser Rating

happy with my choice

I stayed here for 4 nights starting 3/25/08 on a priceline bid of $41. It was my first bid in this zone for a 2 star, so maybe the hotel could have been gotten for a little less. None the less, I was happy with the rate especially since the hotel was very full, given that it was a few days after Easter & during spring break.

The hotel seemed about 10 years old. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was a nice size and included a small table (but no desk). Mr stay included free wifi and free breakfast cold cereal, make your own waffles, bagels, toast, yogurt, apple & orange juice, egg bacon muffin (which I didn't care for). There was also fresh fruit usually apples, bananas & oranges. Near the lobby there was a 24 hour coffee machine & hot water for tea & instant hot chocolate. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a pool. This hotel was near an IHOP & a Dunkin Donuts. It was on a road with many other hotels & chain restaurants.

location was 1.5 miles away from my destination, Historic Williamsburg.

checkin was quick with no mention of priceline. unfortunately there were no King size rooms available.

Nice size room with two queen beds, comfortable armchair, TV, coffee maker, iron. It was 1 room away from the elevator which I never heard. The walls are probably thin though, because 1 night I fell asleep with th TV on fairly loud & the occupants of the adjoining room complained to the front desk. The room walls showed some repainting probably for repair.

Bathroom spacious and clean shower had good pressure. bath & hand soaps, shampoo & conditioner provided
Ice machine down the hall

Facilities
Pool

Free Breakfast
Very good except for the microwavable egg bacon muffin.
07:00-10:00
4 Waffle makers, caf & decaf coffee, tea & hot chocolate packets, apple & orange juices, raspberry & banana/strawberry yogurts, cereals, muffins, self serve microwave egg bacon muffin, toaster, Danish and muffins.

Coffee service in the lobby 24hrs

Free Parking
Area has other hotels, next to Quality INN.

Gym is fine with about 6 pieces of equipment including treadmills.

Business Room with 2 internet computers, a printer & copier just off the lobby.

City wide bus service available with a stop in front of the hotel. It ran every hour until 8 pm. I used it to go to historic williamsburg (10 mins away). fare was $1.50

Over all, I was pleased with the hotel.
