Our family has shopped at the Williamsburg Pottery Outlet for decades. I remember going there with my parents, then with my children and now with my grandchildren. It's been around for a while!
Williamsburg pottery makes the pieces you'll see in the gift shops in the historic area. That was the original intent, as well as offering overruns and seconds to the public. The store offers a vast selection of patterns and styles. Eventually other stores were added to this complex such as: Pfaltzgraf Factory store and other shoe and clothing outlets. The Williamsburg Pottery is no longer one shop specialising in pottery. I used to hate going here as a kid. They still have that, but there is also a collection of outlet stores. Companies like Black & Decker (tools) and Easy Spirit (shoes) rent space here to unload surplus product at discount prices. Pottery, shoes, specialty and gourmet food products plus a lot more. Many things are sold at discount, especially in the outlet stores.

The Williamsburg Pottery Factory is a series of buildings set on 200 acres. Wear comfortable shoes!
Each building houses several depts. including of course, pottery, also glassware, wood crafts, pictures and frames, lots and LOTS of dried flower stuff, garden stuff in summer. And more and more.... ummm....pottery of course!
Tucked in the back of one building (forget which) I found a small beer and wine shop that had exports from the world over! I was in heaven! I love weissbier and bought several bottles of different brands. Kept me happy for days... (more than one- I'm not a lush!) very little

We were disappointed! Mother's Day Weekend, many shops were closed, kind of like a ghost town. Sad because we like that you can take your dog along to shop. Hopefully things will pick up this summer. Great craft store, lots of great home decor items, flowers galore!
