Nice Hotel, Bad Location

This is a nice, new and very clean hotel with reasonable rates, which says a lot in city with some of the most outrageous hotel prices in the country. The main problem here is the hotel's location, which is smack in the middle of a burned-out industrial zone. It is nowhere near any type of Metro stop (though they do offer a free shuttle to Union Station every 30 minutes), nor is there any place to eat (besides fast food), or anything to do, within walking distance. In fact, I'd recommend not walking anywhere around this hotel, as the neighborhood is kind of shifty. On the bright side, if you have a car they do offer free parking, something which hardly any hotel in the city has. If you decide to drive downtown to see attractions or eat, expect to be in the car for at least 30 minutes during rush hour.

Unique Quality: Has an OK gym and free breakfast, but the pool had so much chlorine in it that it bleached my daughter's new bathing suit white, so watch out for that.
