Affordable luxury in Bellevue
The Hilton Bellevue, formerly known as the Double Tree Bellevue, is located in a quiet part of Bellevue, just 4 blocks away from downtown Bellevue. I stayed at the Hilton Bellevue for 5 days during my recent trip in October 2006 and was impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They even helped me to print out the driving directions from Bellevue to downtown Seattle as it was my first trip to Seattle.
Unique Quality: There is a regular free shuttle service to downtown Bellevue on the hour. You can also call up the hotel to ask them to pick you up from any point in downtown Bellevue. For drivers, parking is free. The room that I had was large and had two double beds and a writing desk.

Sheraton Bellevue
I stayed for about four nights in this hotel.
The first day, when I arrived, I found the room te be cleaned so-so... the filter wasn't even removed from the coffeemaker in the room.
The high-speed access in the hotel works fine. No minibar in the room! The staff in the hotel was friendly and helpfull.
A shuttle will drive you to locations within five mile of the hotel. This is no guaranteed service but it turned out to be one of the best points this hotel has to offer, compared to other hotels in the area.
This used to be the Hilton Bellevue, but has recently changed owner and name
Unique Quality: The shuttle is the best unique quality of the hotel.

Dowdy but acceptable
I am so spoiled by Embassy Suites! I went looking for a microwave to use and was told there wasn't a single one in the hotel... but when the gal at the front desk found out I wanted it to make microwave popcorn, she admitted she could do it for me in the staff microwave. It's the only place in Bellevue other than the ES that has an indoor pool, but it is tiny. The price is fairly high for the room quality, though the toiletries are good (Neutrogena) and the bed was above-average. Decor has been redone in the past 5 years but it still screams "mid-level hotel". There's nothing at all unique abou it.
Unique Quality: Very close and convenient to downtown Bellevue. Room service prices excessive.
