garciam's new Bothell Page
Bothell was where I was raised for the most part of my childhood and I have vivid memories of this area during the 70's through the early 80's. I remember it to be incredibly green, thick with tall trees and lots of ferns. It rained most of the time and there were many days on end with thunderstorms. The town of Bothell was very small, the extent of it was a Safeway, some schools and lots of houses. The highlight was to go over to Lake City. Bothell was overgrown with wilderness, quiet and safe. 3905 Maltby Road was my home address and it was completely wooded with a large pond full of catfish. The summers were mild and there were lots of cherry trees. There were lots of farms and it was ok to ride horseback along side the road. It was kind of a lazy area and the people were a little more relaxed than usual.
