Brooks Memorial State Park Campground: Sun or Shade on Loop by Small Stream
I have not stayed in this campground.
The number of campsites available in Brooks Memorial State Park are fairly limited, but seem to be sufficient for the demand. There are tent sites among the trees, and a few hookup sites there as well. A number of the hookup sites are located in the non-sheltered area of the paved loop, meaning they could get fairly hot in the summer months.
While US 97 is a very busy highway, it is located behind trees and around a small bend in the ridge from the camp sites. It is still possible to hear the traffic from the camp sites but it isn't as bad as some locations in terms of traffic noise.
Part of the camping loop is under long distance high voltage transmission lines.
All campsites are first-come first-served.
