More about Anchorage Inn Bed and Breakfast
We Crowed in the Crow's Nest!
This was our first B&B experience. It exceeded our expectations in every way.
Our teenage niece lives in Coupeville. She recommended this B&B as it's where her dad and step-mom stayed when they visited her. So, we pulled up the web site and e-mailed the innkeepers, Dave and Dianne. They responded right away and provided information regarding the rooms and pricing. They had availability for our proposed dates, and recommended the Crow's Nest for our room since our teenage son was coming along.
We were greeted by Dave and Dianne with fresh baked cookies and an assortment of beverages! These beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, water, soda) were always available downstairs for us, along with cookies in the afternoons.
Our room, accessed via a separate set of stairs, was huge with a sitting area and a private bath. We had a large-screened TV (oodles of channels), DVD player (bunches of videos in the room and downstairs to watch), wireless Internet, a fireplace, and a refrigerator (stocked with drinks).
The huge, high bed was unbelievably comfortable. Even my son's rollaway bed was comfortable too. The view was to die for! We had breathtaking views of the water and of the quaint town.
The breakfasts were such a treat. Each day was something new and yummie. It's obvious that Dianne loves to cook and entertain. Dave made the event even more memorable by chatting with all of us as we ate. We also enjoyed Dave's daily creative napkin folding talents!
The best way to sum up our experience is to say that we truly felt like we were "home away from home."
Wonderful Victorian Inn a block off picturesque Penn Cove. Ocean views with Mount Baker center stage, from our window. Each of the 7 rooms was meticulously decorated, spacious enough, quiet, with private baths and individual hot water heaters, so morning showers were never an issue. Two sittings for breakfast, coffee was always hot by 7:00 am, and coffee, tea, and cold pop always in the fridge in the dining room, as well as popcorn and freshly baked cookies each evening. Hosts were warm, genuine, fun.
This is the best B&B in Coupeville
My girlfriend and I recently visited the Anchorage Inn B&B for a weekend getaway. WOW, talk about a great stay. The room, the service, the atmosphere... all were above and beyond any of our expectations. Dave and Diane Binder, the innkeepers, are very knowledgeable about the places and events both in Coupeville and throughout Whidbey Island. So if this is your first visit to the Island, they will never steer you wrong. Oh, and we can't forget the delicious gourmet breakfasts that they serve fresh every morning. They serve a variety of dishes daily, with the majority of the ingredients coming from their back yard or elsewhere in the local area. For the money that you spend, you get way more than just a room. The Anchorage Inn is the best valued B&B on the island. Absolutely incredible.
The Anchorage Inn was a wonderful find. The location was great; we were able to walk to everything. Not only were the rooms clean, they were very quiet - we didn't hear another guest during our stay. This was a wonderful B&B experience with great hosts who made us feel at home. They provided little extras that you don't see at most places, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We really enjoyed our large room, the Crows Nest, with great views.
Once again, Anchorage Inn Far Exceeded Expectations!!!!
My husband, niece and I just completed a 2 night stay at the Anchorage Inn in Coupeville, WA. This trip was to commence my step-daughters high school graduation. This was the second time we've stayed with Dave and Dianne and once again, we were not disappointed! From being able to check in early (10 AM!!) to Dave remembering my food allergies and my husbands food peculiarities, it felt like we had come home and was truly a wonderful experience! Dave recommended Christopher's to celebrate graduation and the food and atmosphere were perfect. Any time we go to Coupeville, we will be sure to stay at the Anchorage Inn.
Always a pleasure to relax at the Inn. Breakfasts with the hosts and guests very rewarding and delicious. We have stayed at the Inn numerous times-our absolute favorite. Great rooms and unique area for "browsing" (Coupeville and Oak Harbor). As retired military we have the advantage of extra entertainment and shopping. Looking forward to stealing one of Dave's climbing rose bushes and many more relaxing stays at the Inn. As part of their anniversary present we gave our son a stay at the Inn-They loved it and chose to have an encore stay! Dave and Diane are the consumate hosts! BOOK A STAY AT THE "INN", OR YOU WILLL BE MISSING A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY

Had a great time
My daughter and I had a lovely, quick stay at the Anchorage Inn. We were traveling in the area to attend a wedding and so had a little bit of time to fit in a relaxing stay at the B & B. I adore islands, ferries and B & B's and so staying here was marvelous. We hope to return when we have a little more time to enjoy the area longer. Hosts were very friendly, food was great and we loved our room.
Secret Gem in Coupeville
When we planned a business trip to Seattle we wanted to see more than the city and researched information about Whidbey Island. That is how we found the fantastic Anchorage Inn in Coupeville. It is a short scenic drive from the Mukilteo ferry that arrives in Clinton. Dave and Diane were the perfect hosts! Just enough info but not hovering around us. A big plus for us was they are willing to book a one night stay (few places were) since we had such a limited time on the island. The suggestions for local sightseeing were excellent as well as local restaurants. The peacefulness of the Anchorage Inn will definitley relax you.
