The train is a perfect way to travel, fast and easy, comfortable, friendly service, affordable, great food, the perfect way to decompress between home and destination and back again, and Amtrak got us there ahead of schedule both ways!

A day tour included a ride on the Monorail, walk to Pike Street Market, lunch watching port activity, (developing a desire to cruise to Alaska!), and the indescribably and very amusing Underground Tour, not to be missed, or believed?
"Whidbey Island, gateway to the San Juans"
Spent the day driving up the Island, visiting picturesque Coupeville, best ice-cream cones in the world!, Deception Pass, such dramatic scenery and a not-to-be-missed jet boat ride! and Mount Erie, a view of the known world, known to northern Whidbey anyway, dreaming us on up the Inside Passage.
