Hello, I will be visiting a friend in a few weeks and would like to do some hiking near where she lives in Mukileteo which is near Everett. If possible I am hoping to find hiking trails with a mountain view within less than an hour drive from Mukilteo/Everett, Washington. Any ideas on where I can get some local info like this?

You can also visit: (www.snohomish.org). If they've had bad weather or rockslides,etc, you'll want to make sure the trails you wish to visit are open before you travel. Gary

You are welcome ! I, with 3 friends, did about a 25 mile hike near Shasta where we could see our friends at the end of a blocked trail. The 7 mile return trip was quite nice, the Jack Daniel's became a bit of a problem, lol. My girlfriend at the time, Julia, was definitely not impressed. Gary
Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is about an hour away and has tons of trails.

Right off of Evergreen road and 42nd street is Forest Park.
This park is a secluded park upon a hill away from the city that offers hiking trails, a playground, daycare, pool, clubhouse, and scenic views of the sound.
The park is fairly small but the paths are clear and their is almost never anyone on the trails.
The trails are not to hard, but hard enough to get a little of a workout and a sweat if you do the whole trail.
