The Moore Hotel: Convinient & affordable lodging near Pikes market

After much looking around for affordable lodging in Seattle - very daunting, seems impossible at times - we came across very positive reviews about the Moore Hotel.
Comfortable beds, good water pressure and very friendly staff.
The only draw back is that it can get noisy at night due to thin walls and it's position next to two popular bars/night spots.

Having said that, some ear plugs and problem solved.

The Moore hotel is a historic building attached to the Moore Theater which opened it's doors in 1907.
You can easily imagine gentlemen and ladies dressed in the period clothes frequenting the lobby and rooms of the hotel.

The convenience of being able to literally walk outside the hotel door, down to the corner and 1 & 1/2 blocks away from the main entrance to Pikes market made it very worth it.
Additionally, the inexpensive "Quick Link" system from the airport terminal to one of two stations located only 2-3 blocks from the hotel made avoiding what can be very expensive taxi ride ($40-45) to hotel a $2.00 transfer!
Same when we returned to airport.

There are numerous restaurants, coffee shops, diners all within easy walk (1 - 2 blocks) from hotel.
Free WiFi completed the package.

Courtyard Marriot: Hotel in the middle of nowehere

I stayed here on business. There is no other reason why I would stay in this area. The hotel is nice, about a 15 minute taxi ride from the Pasco airport. The hotel is located right on the Columbia River and there's a walking path along the river. The room was clean and the front desk girls were very nice. The only drawbacks with the hotel is that the food at the restaurant is TOO expensive. The good thing though, was that there is a cheap grocery store a half mile down the street and each room has a fridge and microwave. That saved me a ton of money.

W Seattle: Downtown Fashion

Right smack in the middle of downtown, the W provides an urban/sleek feeling which was just perfect for our first trip to Seattle. My husband and I took advantage of a great 'recession price' of $149 per night, which is much lower than the usual $300+ rate.

Pros:
The location can't be beat- walking distance to most of the sites/restaurants (e.g., to the Space Needle, Monorail, etc)
Nice bathrooms with 'Bliss' product
Cars for complimentary rides to your destination (if you hit the timing right- first come, first served)
Decent service

Cons:
The decoration is a bit dark (even for a W)
Views are ok, but not great (we were on a top floor- no direct views of Puget sound from where we were)
Parking is expensive at $40/night- there are other local garages that are cheaper, so I would go for that

They have a gym, but we didn't test it out...

Mar Queen Hotel: Queen Anne's gem of a hotel

Spacious and unique rooms that call back to the history of Queen Anne hill, but you also have the modern comforts.

Doubletree Suites at Southcenter: Good location

Nice, atrium-style hotel with a great location. Each room has a living room with small refrigerator, bathroom, as well as a separate bedroom. This hotel offers free internet in the business center, and complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport.

The this hotel is directly across the street from Southcenter Mall, one of the largest malls in the Seattle area. There is a plethora of dining options within walking distance, ranging from the mall food court, Cheesecake Factory, and Outback Streahouse. Also, there is a Target just a block from the hotel. Sea-Tac airport is a seven minute drive.

Mariott Residence Inn Spokane East Valley: Great Motel

Normally, I would not post a chain on here (yeah, we've all heard that one before)! But, this place is well worth mentioning. For many reasons.

The staff is EXCELLENT for one. Another thing, is the fact that the Centennial Trail runs directly behind the motel. The motel offers FREE bike and helmet rentals, so if you wish, you may rent them and go on the Centennial Trail for a ride.

It is also a block away from a major shopping center, and only a few miles away from Riverfront Park in Downtown Spokane.

Alexis Hotel: 4 stars all the way

This hotel is incredible. The location, service, room, amenities, design, value and theme all blend together in a confident display of professional excellence. We had a Spa Suite with a gigantic jacuzzi tub and a room fit for a prince and princess, including by far the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever used. The staff attended to our every request with pleasure. We didn't try the food but it looked wonderful. If you want a great experience and are well off or willing to splurge, go for it.

The room, the design and the service as well as the location.

Daroga camp site: All Camp sites have something special.

This was a very nice clean site, The site is north of Wenatchee on highway 97 near to Chelan.
If you are into water sports you are in luck, because this place is on the edge of the river Columbia. So if you love jetskiing and you have a boat this is the place.
No problem is to small for the Park Ranger who is always around some time in the day.

Their is a man who calls around to see if you want any logs or ice for a very small charge. Lake Chelan is about 45 mins up the road with so many thing going on .And in the other direction you have Wenatchee.

Blue Heron Inn: Mount St. Helen B&B

The Blue Heron Inn is one of the very few places to stay in Mount St. Helen Park. It was a cozy and convenient. The owners of the B & B make the best breakfasts, which is included in the cost of the room.

Deer would walk across the front yard at night while sitting and a enjoying a drink on the terrace.

Simply an enjoyable nights sleep.

Rosario Resort: Romantic getaway

This is a definate must see. This is an inclusive resort in the San Juan Islands. Its a bit pricy, but well worth it. Rooms all have astonishing views of the San Juans and the resort is secluded in the woods.

Historical mansion of Robert Moran is now the lobby and other resort services are located.

Camping spot in Gothic Basin; Del Campo Peak: Sometimes the best is Free!!

You can spend a lot of money and stay in a swank downtown hotel, or a tugboat on Lake Union or even a fancy B&B atop Queen Anne Hill, but there are a lot of places in Washington State that will just cost you a little sweat.

This is in the middle Cascades of WA, maybe a little over an hour from Seattle.

Great views, mountain goats will visit, swimming lake for your pleasure (not heated, however!), and cusine limited only by your imagination and back.

Neuberger's Retreat: Best Lodging in the Area

I had the best accomodations in the area, I was lodging at my cousin's house tucked back in the trees on a hill overlooking a river and pond. The food was great and plentiful. I want to thank them for their hosptiality and the great venison stroganoff.
