The Moore Hotel: Convinient & affordable lodging near Pikes market

by Homanded

After much looking around for affordable lodging in Seattle - very daunting, seems impossible at times - we came across very positive reviews about the Moore Hotel.
Comfortable beds, good water pressure and very friendly staff.
The only draw back is that it can get noisy at night due to thin walls and it's position next to two popular bars/night spots.

Having said that, some ear plugs and problem solved.

The Moore hotel is a historic building attached to the Moore Theater which opened it's doors in 1907.
You can easily imagine gentlemen and ladies dressed in the period clothes frequenting the lobby and rooms of the hotel.

The convenience of being able to literally walk outside the hotel door, down to the corner and 1 & 1/2 blocks away from the main entrance to Pikes market made it very worth it.
Additionally, the inexpensive "Quick Link" system from the airport terminal to one of two stations located only 2-3 blocks from the hotel made avoiding what can be very expensive taxi ride ($40-45) to hotel a $2.00 transfer!
Same when we returned to airport.

There are numerous restaurants, coffee shops, diners all within easy walk (1 - 2 blocks) from hotel.
Free WiFi completed the package.

HI Seattle - American Hotel: Great location, easy to get to from airport

by TXgal

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location, large kitchen, internet access and tv room.

Courtyard Marriot: Hotel in the middle of nowehere

by xxsentiaxx

I stayed here on business. There is no other reason why I would stay in this area. The hotel is nice, about a 15 minute taxi ride from the Pasco airport. The hotel is located right on the Columbia River and there's a walking path along the river. The room was clean and the front desk girls were very nice. The only drawbacks with the hotel is that the food at the restaurant is TOO expensive. The good thing though, was that there is a cheap grocery store a half mile down the street and each room has a fridge and microwave. That saved me a ton of money.

W Seattle: Downtown Fashion

by PurpleTravels

Right smack in the middle of downtown, the W provides an urban/sleek feeling which was just perfect for our first trip to Seattle. My husband and I took advantage of a great 'recession price' of $149 per night, which is much lower than the usual $300+ rate.

Pros:
The location can't be beat- walking distance to most of the sites/restaurants (e.g., to the Space Needle, Monorail, etc)
Nice bathrooms with 'Bliss' product
Cars for complimentary rides to your destination (if you hit the timing right- first come, first served)
Decent service

Cons:
The decoration is a bit dark (even for a W)
Views are ok, but not great (we were on a top floor- no direct views of Puget sound from where we were)
Parking is expensive at $40/night- there are other local garages that are cheaper, so I would go for that

They have a gym, but we didn't test it out...

Mar Queen Hotel: Queen Anne's gem of a hotel

by carpediemdrea

Spacious and unique rooms that call back to the history of Queen Anne hill, but you also have the modern comforts.
Highly recommend this hotel because of the awesome location and the beauty of the hotel.

Doubletree Suites at Southcenter: Good location

by tati53

Nice, atrium-style hotel with a great location. Each room has a living room with small refrigerator, bathroom, as well as a separate bedroom. This hotel offers free internet in the business center, and complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport.

The this hotel is directly across the street from Southcenter Mall, one of the largest malls in the Seattle area. There is a plethora of dining options within walking distance, ranging from the mall food court, Cheesecake Factory, and Outback Streahouse. Also, there is a Target just a block from the hotel. Sea-Tac airport is a seven minute drive.

Mariott Residence Inn Spokane East Valley: Great Motel

by Astrobuck

Normally, I would not post a chain on here (yeah, we've all heard that one before)! But, this place is well worth mentioning. For many reasons.

The staff is EXCELLENT for one. Another thing, is the fact that the Centennial Trail runs directly behind the motel. The motel offers FREE bike and helmet rentals, so if you wish, you may rent them and go on the Centennial Trail for a ride.

It is also a block away from a major shopping center, and only a few miles away from Riverfront Park in Downtown Spokane.
