Old Port Townsend Charm in Bed & Breakfast

I did not stay in this Bed and Breakfast, and it should be noted that as of my September 2010 visit to Port Townsend this property is for sale.

As with many of the old Port Townsend converted bed & breakfast houses, there are a number of rooms available here. The house is located very close to downtown, and it is only several blocks walk to get to the core of Port Townsend.

Unique Quality: Unlike some of the other houses that have been converted to bed and breakfast lodging, the Ravenscroft has very large balconies facing the water. As the building is set back away from the edge of the bluff somewhat, the view most likely doesn't include and of downtown Port Townsend, but it most certainly includes views of the water and distant land masses.

As with many places in Port Townsend, "winter season" brings special discount prices to most hotels and other places to stay.

Prices depend on what room you stay in and the time of year, so I have sort of selected an average from the price range option.

Directions: From downtown Quincy and Water Street take Quincy up hill to Adams. R on Adams, R on Franklin, L onto Quincy. Close to bus route #11.

    Port Townsend Bed and Breakfast

Stayed at the bed and breakfast for a weekend. It was a nice enough place but nothing spectactular. We stayed in one of the lower units in which the bed was not the greatest. Also, I better preface this by saying it rained all weekend and we stayed in the room more than usual. The bathroom was pretty standard tub with a separate shower. Breakfast was better than average and plenty of food. They rolled out more than enough to satisfy the appetite.

Unique Quality: The inn's garden was pretty nice. It would be a good spot to get married I imagine.

Directions: Take the Bainbridge Isle ferry. Off ferry follow signs to Hood Canal Bridge. Cross bridge and continue on Highway 104 to Highway 19 turn off and follow signs Pt Townsend. Driving time is 1 hour.
