Very well situated and just a few meters away from the Space Center (therefore, the Space Needle).
Unique Quality: Double room: 128,09 USD (102,50 €) (Aug. '06), accommodation and complementary breakfast; free parking in the complex.

I was very satisfied with this motel. It is 3 blocks away from the Space needle and 5 from the Key Arena. Pike Market and Pioneer Square is about a 15 minute walk or a 5 dollar cab ride. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. The rooms were a little small and nothing to write home about but for the price what do you expect. There is free wireless internet availible and free parking! Most downtown hotels charge their guests up to 25 dollars in this area. We went for New Years and parking by the Space Needle was impossible. We were really lucky with the travelodge. I got a great deal with Priceline. I would stay here again.

Hi
My husband and I are flying into Seattle on 8th July and taking a Princess cruise from (I think) pier 91 on 10th July. Could you please give me any info on transportation from the airport (least expensive ways) and where best to stay in Seattle either bed and breakfast accommodation or hotels (even a hostel, as I am sure I read somewhere that there was a really good hostel with private rooms and ensuite but I cannot remember the name of it) which would not be too far for us to get transport to the pier. Would we need taxi, or is there a bus or transportation system to the pier? Sorry, lots of questions I know. Thanks to anyone who takes time to reply. Best regards Alison
No accommodations of any kind are located close to Pier 91.
The closest stuff would be in the Queen Anne neighborhood and around Seattle Center. Inn at Queen Anne and the Travelodge Seattle Center are both really reasonably-priced lodging options there.
There are buses that go to the cruise terminal. Looks like #'s 19, 24 and 33 go there. http://metro.kingcounty.gov/
There is the Green Tortoise Hostel Downtown, but they don't really have private rooms, just larger dorm beds.

There's also City Hostel:

To get from the airport to Downtown Seattle, there is the new-ish light rail system. If you're going to Seattle Center, you'll have to transfer to either a bus or the monorail at Westlake Center.

Thanks so much for the information. It really helps. have a great day
Last year we stayed at the downtown Grand Hyatt on Pine Street and that was pretty good. Met a couple who had been on a cruise who were at the Roosevelt, also on Pine and they were very happy with that. Both hotels very handy for the transport tunnel for arriving from the airport. Also good for Pike Place market and the Space Needle monorail.
I think you would need a taxi to the pier but it`s not too far.
Have a great time!
The Holiday Inn Express close to the Space Needle is very reasonable and has free breakfast too :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, all noted, thanks. have a great day
Thanks so much , will look into this. Have a great day.
