There is a nice, lower priced hotel on the north side of Spokane called the Apple Tree Inn....it has spacious rooms with kitchens and microwaves. It is located across the street from a grocery store and is on a main street, Division, that leads directly to downtown....with only a 30 mintue drive. It is also on a bus route.
