Cheap and perfectly acceptable room

We had planned on camping so had no reservations. Walla Walla is not set up for camping, there is a new RV park in town but we camp in a VW westfalia and it was hot (107 degrees). The new RV park has no shade and no pool so we headed south into Oregon to a nice park campground in Milton Freewater. The second day was also very hot and after being at wineries all day there was NO WAY we were driving back to Oregon. We found this Budget Inn, right in town, great pool, clean room with microwave, refrigerator, iron and board, for just 50 dollars a night. Yes I would go back and yes I would recommend. You start with the wineries outside of town and you finish with the ones in town on foot.
