Hilltop House Hotel: Old and Interesting?

Perched on top of the hill overlooking the Potomac river basin and the C&O canal tow path. This hotel lacks a bit of luster for high cost of staying here. Granted it's an older building and it's closer to Washington DC. So I suppose it could be called quaint?

Scenic over look gives this hotel it's call to anything.

Harpers' Ferry Hostel: Harpers' Ferry Hostel

There is a youth hostel within the national park....I have not stayed there or even seen it but if you budget travel thought it would be a good tip.

Hilltop House Hotel: Grand Views

A charming and historic hotel situated high above the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, the views are spectacular! Surrounded by acres of woods, beautiful mountains and flowing rivers. There are 65 rooms here, priced from $70 to $155.

We obviously didn't stay here, due to time contraints, but without realising it, I did take a picture of the 'house on the hilltop'.

Briscoe House: Bed and Breakfast within hiking distance

The hospitality is great. On both visits, the innkeepers picked us up at the train station, so we didn't need to rent a car (which is good, since parking is at a premium in Harpers Ferry).

Very quiet and very comfortable.
