by JudyinPA $75 per night for two at our B&B, The Last Resort. Most hotels and B&B's cost $80 to $100 a night for a double room.
There are very old buildings in town that are used as hotels. These are located in those hills above town. If staying in one of these places be prepared to take the 10 - 15 minute walk down to town. That means it's up to get back. Theme: MotelComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: We stayed with our dog in a bed and breakfast apartment on the hill, called The Last Resort. They would bring us breakfast daily and we would make the eggs or pancakes ourselves and eat when we chose.Other Contact: Our B&B had a deck overlooking t

Yokums Vacationland, in Seneca Rocks, WV,is a great campground. It's situated under Seneca Rocks, along the river. Great place for fishing, just walk out your camper door and your beside the river bed. The river is shallow, you can walk across it all the way. Wonderful trout, even golden trout, inhabit the river. Great view of the rock face from your campsite where you can watch the rock climbers scaling the face. The campground costs $15 a night for 3 people in an RV. Not sure about the motel and cabins, however.
They have an indoor pool at the motel above the campground that is free for use if you camp there. Motel and cabins are available for rent also. Theme: CampgroundComparison: least expensiveDirections: Seneca Rocks, WV. About 20 minutes from Petersburg, WVOther Contact: http://wvweb.com/yokums/

A quite little town suspended in time. by lmkluque I suggested Harper's Ferry as a day trip, but the town is charming, like stepping back in time. It might be a great place to stay and explore for a few days. The Jackson Rose Bed & Breakfast, would be a wonderful choice. I didn't stay here, but would like to. The residence was built in the late 1700's and in 1861 during the Civil War it was the headquarters of Stonewall Jackson. Today it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Location and the view! That should be enough, however you can add to that, the luxury of large suites with private bath, warm hositality, and a wonderful gourmet breakfast.

All kinds of spa packages are available, and they are definitely worth it! Berkeley Springs also has plenty of bed-and-breakfast establishments, if you are looking for simpler lodging. View of the Embassy Suits in Charleston by justy84rw Embassy Suits of Charleston, WV I am thinking around $75.00 or more but you get your moneys worth with huge rooms and beds very comfortable. The service in the hotel is superb having excellent services inside the building. Also in the building is a sports bar with large screen TV's and a full stocked bar. Also has huge meeting rooms and a small gift shop to make your stay that much better.
This place has it all: close to the Town Center Mall, right in the heart of downtown, and close enough to the interstate that you can jump back on without getting lost. The hotel also has a wonderful breakfast which comes with the room served in the indoor forest of green. Also has an excerise room and pool and a great thing the internet on the TV's! hehe
