The Village of Ashwaubenon
Ashwaubenon belongs to the Fox Cities, although it called a village. It has the population of over 17 thousand inhabitants.
It's the only destination in the US called village that I visited during m,y stay there.
Staying in Green Bay as an exchange teacher I had a chance of visiting this village (better to say, city) on the invitation of my friends.
First of all I was taken to Ashwaubenon High School - the Home of the Jaguars.
The school is great: it has all possible modern equipment and conveniences, affable students and attentive colleagues.
The village is very near the Motorway 41, so driving along the motorway you can see first the business and hotel center: Ramada Inn, Hampton Inn, Exel Inn and others.
Stein Mart Plaza is very impressive.
I think visiting Bay Park Square Mall, Shopko, Bay Park Cinema is a must for the visitors of this village (city!).
The city has lots of parks and recreational areas. One of them is Ashwaubomay Park with its tennis courts, boat ramp, shelters and playgrounds. I wish I could spend more time there!
