"Typical American Suburb"
Brookfield is your typical American suburb. Off a major interstate, plenty of chain restaurants, a shopping center, some golf courses and family homes.
My visits to Brookfield consisted of trying out a couple of different hotels. My wife found a wedding CD for our daughter at one of the bookstores in the area, so she was very happy with that find.
You can usually get a cheaper priced hotel in the area, and it is only about 20 minutes from downtown Milwaukee, without traffic, so if you are staying on a weekend or business trip to the area and have your own car you might want to check it out.
