Travel Tips for Green Bay

Bundle up

by pumpkin915

November through February is very cold, usually below 32F, 0C (freezing level) and the months of September, October, March, and April can be below freezing also, so make sure to bring some winter clothing like a sweater and jacket when you are coming during these months.

International Cafe

by apuleuis about Pasquale's

1950's style restaurant with excellent food. My friends say their ribs are excellent. I think the pasta is excellent, and the garlic cheese bread. Almost anything you want, they have. Gnocchi with alfredo sauce and a side order of the cheese bread. It's a hard dish to find in the area, and it tastes really good with home made sauce.

"The Cheese Heads"

Imagine a town of only 100,000 people supporting an NFL team. The Green Bay Packers have a long and illustrious career. It takes 78,000 fans to fill the stadium, and they do. Players practise on an open field watched by many adoring fans. Kids get to hold players helmets as the players "borrow" the kids bike to get to practise. Smiling police officers stop traffic to let people across in mid-block to watch the practise. Go to http://www.packers.com/ for the whole story.

People of Green Bay are happy, friendly and helpful. Summers are great, and winters are. . . real winter.

Green Bay is a small town, but there are some interesting things to see when you are here! You can come to see a Packer Game, visit Lambeau Field, see training camp in the summer and visit the Packer Hall of Fame. There are also some hidden jewels for restaurants.
