Hyatt has opened one of their reliably comfortable properties at this downtown location which has seen a number of differ hoteliers in operation over the years. I'm hoping that Hyatt can run it successfully - they are certain a welcome and well-respected addition to the downtown Green Bay scene.
A lot of visitors to Green Bay prefer to be out by the football stadium, which is certainly where the shopping and restaurants have congregated over the last two decades. And downtown Green Bay's shopping mall failed dramatically to keep up with its suburban competition. But in recent years there have been effort to revitalize the downtown area - and this is certainly where I prefer to stay, because most of my favorite GB places are within a stone's throw - or (I should say) walking distance. (St. Brendan's Pub, the Hinterland brewpub, and the Kavarna Café among them).
The Hyatt on Main is a favorite for wedding receptions - and also bachelor and bachelorette parties, so you might want to ask for a quiet floor, particularly on weekends, when the large atrium often resounds with merry party-goers.
There's also a conference center attached to the hotel - hence the wedding receptions. But there's also plenty of activity during the week.
Westwood Shores Waterfront resort
We paid about 100$ for 2 bedroom apartment for 5 people, I think it was worth it as it is really good place!
It was an exelant place to stay! We had everything we needed! The service was good!
Westwood Shores Waterfront Resort has one and two bedroom suites all with a breathtaking view of the bay! Especialy 'breathtaking' on sunset! All suites have a fireplace in the living room, double whirlpool bath, king bed in the bedroom, and a complete kitchen. Property amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, indoor whirlpool and sauna and a fitness room. Rowboatsand paddleboat are available in season. We found everything we needed! After swimming in the pool, we got some video films, table games for kids... We really enjoyed our stay in this resort.
I would suggest the Kress Inn located on the Saint Norbert Campus in De Pere. Another hidden Jewel. Fergie stayed in the Presidential Suite in May of 2002!
Brand new facility, Whirlpool suites, Queen suites and a presidential suite. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Good luck getting a room on a Packer weekend, otherwise shouldn't be a problem.
