Downtown Lake GenevaFlowers Abound
As though Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, were not already breathtakingly beautiful,[the city or Chamber of Commerce or whoever is responsible] huge planters and hanging plants have been added all over the town.
All these flowers are of one color: pink. All of these flowers are the "Million Bells" variety. As one notes in the photograph, the large hanging baskets are lush and abundant. They are almost perfectly balanced. Besides these hanging baskets, there are also gigantic planters scattered around for "eye candy".
Mickey and discussed how they are able to keep them so perfect during the spring and summer season. We came to the conclusion that they must water at night [using a long, curved wand to reach the hanging baskets. They chose well because these flowers do not need "deadheading".
All I can say as a gardener myself is that I was so happy to see this added touch that makes Lake Geneva even more breathtaking.
