State Street is (my guess) about 1.5 to 2 miles in length from one end to the other. At one end of State Street you have the State Capitol building and at the opposite end the college area. State Street is a nice place to walk and take in the atmosphere. There are coffee shops, sandwich shops. small convenience/grocery stores, liquor stores, mexican, asian, afghanistan, american, and other types of restaurants to choose from on State St. There is a Walgreens down at the college end, hair salons and other various merchants. It is a very convenient little shopping area, especially if you are in town on business and need to get out for a walk and a bite to eat!
