Menomonie began as a lumbering town. The Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater, an 1890s era stone building, contains a delightful theater among other attractions.
The Wilson Place Museum also hails from the late 1800s. Regular tours by period costumed guides provide an understanding of that booming era when Knapp, Stout & Company was the larges pine lumbering company in the U.S.A. Home
