Hello,
I've been searching for some cheap rooming and the hostels that i found near milwaukee is closed after aug 2.
i've been looking up "bed & breakfast" typeof places but all i get is high prices...
im looking for a cheap place to stay from aug20-28. i dont' wnat to spend so much money on a room.

Have you checked with www.hostels.com? They have a pretty exhaustive list of hostels. (I have not checked for Milwaukee, but they DO have an extensive listing for other areas I have checked.)

well i checked out that site and the one in milwaukee is closed as of aug 2nd... and the madison one is kind of far... 1 hour away from milwaukee...

that's the one i stayed last time. cheap yes.. but staying there too long last time costed me around 300 bucks... i like to keep it cheap :) if all fails.. most likely i'll be staying in the same place wohoo =|
The festivals in Milwaukee are brilliant. The food may be a bit expensive, but the entertainment is very good and varied. There are festivals nearly all year long! The museums, the Milwaukee County Museum especially. Always a great blend of old and new. Lots of memories for me as I have been going to that museum all of my life.
The Pfister is the discerning traveller's favorite Milwaukee hotel, but you don't have to be a guest here to appreciate the intricate gothic details of this rare example of a Richardsonian Romanesque hotel. Be sure to pay a visit to the gorgeous three story atrium in the center of the hotel - it beat a John Portman interior any day of the week, IMHO!
The architect of the Pfister was Milwaukee's premiere practictioner of "gothic" in the late 19th C, Hency Koch, who was also responsible for the Gesu Church on Marquette's campus, as well the spectacular City Hall.
The main entrance of the original Pfister is on Jefferson, but the official address is 424 E. Wisconsin.
Like so many cities, Milwaukee has been redeveloping its older warehouse district into condos, shops and restau-bars for the smart urban set.
Handscome six and seven story redbrick structures line broad boulevards, often backing up to the rivers which were important thoroughfares of commerce in the 19th century. The creative class has discovered the appeal of this place with a sense of Place, but there's still a great deal of untapped potential here.
Myself, I only recently "discovered" the appeal of the Third Ward - which is conveniently located just to the south of the downtown center. But I'll be back often - and I have the sense that the Third Ward neighborhood is going to be an important anchor of downtown Milwaukee for decades to come.
The Butter burger originated in Milwaukee but you can find them only in the Midwest. It is a burger made with goobs of butter, the whole experience is a means to a triple bypass. Very greasy, fattening but also good. It is very different from a burger that we a used too.
The Milwaukee Bucks are a basketball team. They have not been very good for a long time, but again it is very fun to watch a game live. Pick a good night when they are playing a good team and invite some friends with you and you should have a great time. They are in the playoffs this year, so they are not that bad.
