 | The Waters Of Minocqua: Clean rooms, but BLAH everything else

Got to our room & the balcony door did not lock. They had no one to repair, so they gave us a new room, and DID upgrade us to a room w/fireplace. Who needs a fireplace in August? But bigger room than the original Queen Deluxe, anyway.
Breakfast buffet was a joke. Waitress barely spoke English. My 12 yr old asked for water, but the waitress brought him OJ, then charged us. I made her reverse it, as he did not want it & never ordered it. Food was terrible on buffet!!
Check out staff was very nice enough. Stay elsewhere. Better yet, WHY would you want to even go to Minocqua?
Pool and 2 slides does not a water "park" make. Someone tell this to the Minocquans, please. Floor was so SLIPPERY. Our 10 y.o. son fell walking. Made incident report, & lifeguard was nasty about it,even though she saw the whole thing.
She said that they know the floor is always slippery, that's why the put up the caution signs. My son was walking, and had just stepped out of the pool, and slammed his back on the ground. MAJOR LIABILITY!!! Since they know, and are doing nothing about it, they are opening themselves up to a real potential problem someday,and someone is going to get hurt!
